WestFax Brewing Company is looking for an Assistant Brewer/Cellar Operator to join our growing team. We are looking for a smart, highly motivated professional with a passion for craft beer and wanting to be that inspired link between grain and glass.

WestFax Brewing Company is an award winning local craft brewery located on West Colfax in Lakewood and on the West Side of Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are a small but rapidly growing neighborhood brewery that focuses on serving craft beverages to our customers through our inviting taprooms and wholesale sales channels. We were founded in 2016 and have recently expanded to Colorado Springs, CO. We have seen double digit growth in each proceeding year and want to continue our momentum through hiring an enthusiastic and qualified assistant brewer.

Location - Lakewood, CO
Full Time, Hourly - Non Exempt
Entry Level Position
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Execute all aspects of beer production, from brew day to packaging with a focus on cellar and packaging.
CIP of all vessels
Packaging beer in kegs, cans or bottles
Documentation of beer throughout the entire process
Perform necessary QC tasks, measurement, and analysis
Receiving shipments of materials
Cellar management
Cleaning (kegs, tanks, floors, walls, and anything else that needs it)
Assist in recipe formulation and design
Transport beer between taprooms and wholesale customers when necessary
Working special events and festivals when necessary
Working Conditions
Flexible to work a rotating schedule as business needs arise (including nights, weekends)
Position requires standing for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
Lift up to raw materials up to 55lbs and manipulate kegs weighing up to 165lbs.
Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, upper body and arm rotation, arm extension, and climbing ladders
Some exposure to moderate noise levels in/around brewing area
Exposure to various temperature changes
Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (ear plugs, gloves, boots, etc.)
Qualifications
21 or older
Self-motivated and proactive
Adaptable and able to efficiently manage time and tasks
A passion for and knowledge of craft beer
Ability to work autonomously
Must meet one of the qualifications below:
1+ years production brewery experience
Brewing School degree or certification w/ internship
If no professional experience homebrewing experience is a plus
Canning line experience a plus
Reliable Transportation
Technical aptitude and process oriented thinking
Focused problem-solver with the ability to stay calm and work under pressure
Comfortable with computers and technology
Willingness to continue education and help drive innovation
Compensation
$19-$22 per hour based on experience
