Get your tickets and join us for this feast of all the farm has to offer!!
The farm is located on the south side of Mountair Park, adjacent to the light rail tracks and bike path. From the park’s parking lot along 14th Ave., follow the sidewalk down the hill to arrive in the lower field of the farm. If parking along Depew St., follow 13th Ave. until it turns into the bike path to arrive in the lower field of the farm. We will be enjoying dinner in the lower field and conducting tours of the upper field during cocktail & appetizer hour 🙂
Mountair Park Community Farm is a 1.5 acre organic vegetable farm established by Sprout City Farms in 2014, in partnership with the City of Lakewood. The farm grows over 10,000 pounds of food per year for a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share program, donation-based Farm Stand, nearby 11th Avenue Head Start Preschool, and donations to local food pantries. The farm is a hub for community building and education and offers a free Summer Farm Camp for neighborhood children, volunteer days, tours, field trips, workshops, vocational training, internship and apprenticeship programs, and community events organized by the Community Advisory Committee throughout the season.
Sprout City Farms is an urban agriculture nonprofit building educational urban farms to engage and strengthen communities, drive neighborhoods to be more resilient, and root farmers in the city. We envision a thriving network of accessible city farms that nourish, and are nourished by, their surrounding community. Since 2010, we have built 3 farm sites across the Denver metro area (including the Dahlia Campus Farm, now managed by Mental Health Center of Denver), and continue to manage the Mountair Park and Denver Green School Community Farms.
